About me
I love (a) learning and (b) working on important problems that make the world a better place. I'm currently working to build a world that’s robust to cyber threats in the age of AI at the company I co-founded, Harmony Intelligence.
I split my time between Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 and San Francisco, USA 🇺🇸.
Past work
- Startup founder (many valuable lessons, one exit)
- Software engineer (e.g. at unicorn fintech Plaid; rewrote the Plaid API, serving 100mn+ consumers to this day)
- Hardware engineer (e.g. at cell cultured meat co Vow, building lab automation systems)
- Engineering manager (e.g. at Plaid, managing ~12 team members, including cybersecurity, platform, bank integration teams)
- Head of Engineering (built 8 person team from scratch at Vow)
- Head of Technology (managed ~35 engineers & scientists at Vow)
- A long list of other hats you wear in early-stage startups, from hiring, to operations, commercial, manufacturing, and much more.
All in all, I absolutely love wearing many hats and figuring out ambiguous problems with highly motivated, early-stage teams in pursuit of an important mission.
Current work in AI
For the last couple years, I've been working on ensuring our future with AI goes well, including through education, research and now building Harmony Intelligence.
At Harmony Intelligence, we're building defensive cybersecurity products that protect organisations & institutions against the increasing speed & sophistication of cyberattacks in the AI era. My CTO & Co-founder at Harmony is Alex Browne, one of the most talented & high integrity engineers I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

I used to host The AGI Show podcast to interview AI experts on the risks & opportunities of artificial general intelligence (AGI) for our world. While it's on hiatus, there's some great timeless episodes with expert guests worth listening to.
